Do you want success? Are you willing to do what it takes to be successful? I have always believed that there are two types of people, people who want or wish for success and those who go out and get it.
This last week I interviewed Jo Ann Favia of the Favia Group on my radio show Today’s Inspiring Women. Jo Ann is a financial adviser who is considered in the top 1% world wide of all her peers, that is a huge accomplishment! What is more amazing she accomplished this as a single mother, raising two children by herself in what is considered a male dominated industry. When I asked her about how she became successful her answer was ” failure was not an option.” She said as the sole wage earner… I had to make enough to take care of my children. The bottom line message is wishing doesn’t get the job done….it takes action. If you want an account you have to go after it, ask for it and do the work. One other message she gave is that even though she is considered at the top she is still learning. She believes in continual learning to remain at the top, as demonstrated by her working on yet another certification. If you are interested in her unique strategies go to the itunes recording or go to the radio website or the Today’s Inspiring Women’s website and listen to the recording for August 1st. Jo Ann is the second guest.

So do you want success? Are you willing to take action to make it happen. Are you willing to do the work, put in the hours to make it happen? Are you willing to take a realistic assessment of what you need to be doing to be successful right now? Your success is not dependent on someone else. You need to do the work. You need to make it happen. If you want to be successful… failure is not an option.
